What is best to study for the ACT/SAT?

So far I've only done the online practice tests. I've done pretty well but I'm really nervous. I'm thinking about getting a few books about studying it at Hastings. There pretty expensive though so I was wondering if you thought they would help me. Have you used these books and got positive results?
